I endeavour to treat all subjects, and clients, with respect and ask the same in return. I operate in an marketplace where the value of professional imagery has been devalued in the current age of enthusiasts eagerly giving away imagery in return for the thrill of publication and supposed promotion of their "brand". In my opinion this has seen businesses taking advantage of the opportunity to cut costs without regard to the damage caused to a long-standing trade and the evisceration of an important industry.

I got my first camera when I was ten years old in Taranaki and had my first professional images published in 1987 (Horse-racing, The Daily News, New Plymouth). Alongside a variety of work in journalism, illustration, design and advertising I've been a professional photographer for over 27 years - broken up with travel, study and a wide range of experience in many industries and countries. I returned to NZ in 2007 and battled the global recession to set up shop here in Wellington, beginning with a four-year supply of imagery to Photosport before stepping into a more independent position with a wider range of clients.
